Buy the Gladys Dress sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. This long, romantic dress will give any winter outfit a playful, feminine twist. Gladys is the perfect go-to when you can’t make up your mind about what to wear. This dress is also hack-friendly: make it with or without the ruffled trim, omit the flounce at the bottom, or shorten the whole thing into a smart blouse. Gladys looks brilliant paired with an oversized wool cardigan.

Suggested fabrics: Gladys looks and feels best in soft drape fabric such as muslin, (viscose) crepe, or satin. However, somewhat stiffer fabrics, e.g. poplin or linen, are also options. Solid or patterned Either one will work! Woven fabrics bring out the best in this pattern's details. If you prefer knit fabrics, just make sure to select one that holds its shape well, e.g. interlock.

Fabric requirements: 

Dress: 110 cm wide fabric: 405 - 520 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 275 - 470 cm.

Top: 110 cm wide fabric: 205 - 290 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 145 - 225 cm.

To make a top, lengthen pattern pieces 1 and 5 to the indicated or desired length. Add 2 cm seam allowance to finish the hem. Ignore the buttonhole and indication of the lowest button on pattern piece 1.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our ). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 40 cm; buttons, 1.1 cm diameter, 6 (dress) or 7 (top).

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.
